LUND, SWEDEN —  The Swedish company BoMill AB has received its second commercial order of its grain sorting technique, TriQ, to its domestic market. The customer is one of the biggest grain elevators in Sweden, Varaslättens Lagerhus, BoMill said.

Varaslättens Lagerhus offers cereals seeds, fertilizers and plant protection for crops.  The association is currently owned by 1,900 farmers in western Sweden. It has grain storage for 120,000 tonnes of grain in two facilities, one in Being and the other in Tråvad.


The TriQ technology can be used to sort durum wheat, soft wheat and malting barley on Fusarium, protein and vitreousness, with a speed of 25,000 kernels per second. This makes the TriQ very profitable for businesses within grain handling and milling, the company said.

“The market is now understanding the opportunities our solution provides. We have now two reference installations in our domestic market which is very important for us Internationally,” said Karin Wehlin, chief executive officer of BoMill.
