Ralph Schuck was named head of Buhler's Grain Milling business area

UZWIL, SWITZERLAND — Ralph Schuck was named head of Bühler’s Grain Milling business area, effective May 1. Schuck is a seasoned manager with international industry experience in the plant engineering and service business. 

He has been with the Bobst Group for 13 years in various international management functions, and was most recently president of Bobst Lyon in France. The company offers in-line converting equipment and services for the packaging industry. 

Before joining Bobst, Schuck was with Rhodia Industrial Yarns, a producer of specialty chemicals, where he was heading sales & marketing for monofilaments & non-woven applications.

He has a master’s of business administration degree from the International Institute for Management Development in Lausanne, Switzerland. Schuck grew up in Switzerland and has lived and worked abroad during the past few years. 

Schuck takes over from Johannes Wick, who started April 1 in his new function as CEO of Grains & Food.

Wick, a mechanical engineer with an MBA and two decades of experience in the energy and infrastructure industries, had been head of Bühler’s Grain Milling business area since September 2014.
