NOVOROSSIYSK, RUSSIA — Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port (NCSP) Group announced on March 15 that its consolidated cargo turnover for the first two months of 2016 is up 2.3% and reached 23.8 million tonnes.

Bulk cargo volumes totaled 2.109 million tonnes. That included 1.14 million tonnes of grain, which was up 30.9% from 870,600 tonnes in the same period of last year.
Other cargo included 198,500 tonnes of chemical cargo, 41,500 tonnes of sugar, 445,600 tonnes of iron ore and 283,800 tonnes of coal.

General cargo volumes for the first two months of 2016 increased slightly from 2.246 million tonnes to 2.247 million tonnes in the same period of last year.

Container traffic reached 857,300 tonnes and 81,500 TEU, an increase of 23.3% and 13.5%, respectively, compared to the same period of last year.
