HEREFORD, ENGLAND — The Carter Group this past fall acquired Brice Baker brand and intellectual properties, via its Franklin Hodge Industries Ltd. subsidiary.

The Carter Group was founded in 1945 and is a privately owned engineering company based in the U.K. The group employs nearly 900 people and has sales revenues of about £120 million ($172,538,073).

This move is part of a long term strategy to develop an agricultural division within the Franklin Hodge business, the company said.

The Brice Baker brand fits with Franklin Hodge and associated manufacturing arm, Carter Environmental Engineers. Franklin Hodge, who was also established nearly 45 years ago, is a market leader in the design, manufacture and installation of a comprehensive range of site-assembled liquid storage tanks, the company said.

Brice Baker’s silo range, alongside the sector-recognized strength and reliability of the Brice Baker flat bottom and hopper bottom design, is in synergy with the Carter group mission for excellence in engineering, the company said.

“Our strategy will continue to be to provide our customers with the very best value products and services,” said Steve Morgan, sales manager for Brice Baker.
