CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, U.S. — Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM) announced on March 28 that its board of directors has nominated Debra A. Sandler to stand for election to the board at its upcoming annual stockholders’ meeting on May 5.

Sandler’s prior experience includes senior leadership positions at Mars, Inc., Johnson & Johnson, and PepsiCo. Most recently she served as chief health and wellbeing officer at Mars, after serving there as chief consumer officer and president of Mars Chocolate North America. Sandler currently sits on the board of Gannett Co., Inc.

ADM also announced that Thomas F. O’Neill, who has served as an ADM director since 2004, has informed the board that he will not seek re-election at the annual stockholders’ meeting.

O’Neill is co-chief executive officer of Kimberlite Group LLC, whose subsidiary, Kimberlite Advisors LLC,   is a boutique investment bank that advises financial institutions, real estate companies, institutional investors, financial sponsors  and family offices. Previously, he served as chairman of the holding company of First Allied, a San Diego, California, U.S.-based broker dealer, and chairman of Ranieri Partners Financial Services Group. O’Neill serves on the board of directors of NASDAQ Stock Market, Inc.
