KIEV, UKRAINE — Trade between Ukraine and China is increasing, and Oleksiy Pavlenko, minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, said on July 8 he wants to further strengthen cooperation and expand agricultural trade.
 
Pavlenko met with China's Ambassador to Ukraine Zhang Xiyun to assess the development of the agricultural cooperation between Ukraine and China.

 
"The success of bilateral relations confirms a steady increase agricultural trade between the countries. For the first five months of 2015, turnover increased to $644.8 million. The key directions of bilateral cooperation is trade-economic and investment cooperation,” Pavlenko said.
 
Pavlenko noted the importance of the fifth meeting of the Sub-committee on cooperation in the field of agriculture. A Ukrainian delegation plans to visit China Aug. 3-6 to attend the meeting.
 
"The composition of the Ukrainian delegation will include representatives of agribusiness," he said.
