OMAHA, NEBRASKA, U.S. — Gavilon Grain, LLC announced on Oct. 4 plans to buy corn, soybeans and wheat from Joliet, Illinois, U.S.-area producers this harvest. The new grain and ingredient transload facility, located three miles north of Union Pacific’s intermodal terminal, is capable of loading up to 100 containers per day and unloading both truck and barge. Operations at the Joliet facility commenced in July 2011.

Grain purchases are handled from the company’s headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska, U.S.
