FAABORG, DENMARK — SKIOLD A/S has purchased all assets and liabilities of Damas A/S, the companies announced recently.

At the beginning of the year, Damas became a division of SKIOLD Seed, operating under the name SKIOLD Damas A/S.

SKIOLD, based in Sæby, Denmark, is a leading producer in Europe of feeding, feed milling and ventilation systems for livestock producers. It develops, produces and offers equipment for liquid and dry feeding, ventilation, management systems as well as production and handling of feed and other materials - primarily for the pig sector.

Klaus Gaarde is the manager of the new company. He has been managing director and part owner of Damas since 1999. Production and administration will remain in Vester Åby in Funen, Denmark.

Damas said the decision to integrate Damas into SKIOLD was made to give Damas’ unique machines for cleaning and grading of grain and seed an even stronger position in the world market.

As an integrated company in SKIOLD, Damas will be in a better position to obtain the growth and development required for the company to remain an equal partner for larger customers throughout the world, Damas said.

SKIOLD has spent many resources on expanding and developing the market with offices in Australia, Russia, Ukraine, Sweden and France. Furthermore SKIOLD has a strategy of continued business and market development.

Two years ago, SKIOLD bought 80% of the shares in Damas from Thoraso, a sister subsidiary of SKIOLD.
