MOSCOW, RUSSIA — Russia’s grain exports through Dec. 23 totaled 19.43 million tonnes, a drop of 5% from a year earlier, according to data from the Federal Customs Service of Russia.

Wheat exports totaled 14.5 million tonnes, down 9% from 16 million tonnes a year earlier. Barley exports were 3.1 million tonnes, little changed from last year. Corn exports totaled 1.64 million tonnes, up from 1.07 million tonnes last year.

Russia’s season begins on July 1.
