PARIS, FRANCE — InVivo announced on Sept. 17 that it is creating an agriculture division, effective Oct. 1, that will be led by Laurent Martel.

The division will bring together several areas including seeds, agricultural supplies and services, and grain logistics and storage. InVivo will have three divisions: agriculture; animal nutrition and health; and retail.

Martel , 47, has extensive experience in France and abroad in the areas of seed and biotechnology, agropharmacy , storage and grain handling, in the positions of executive marketing , sales and general management.

Martel graduated from the Higher Institute of Agriculture and Agrifood Rhône-Alpes and graduated in agriculture from Oregon State University. He was with Monsanto from 2008-10. He joined Senalia, a leading European grain export port, in 2011, where he served as deputy managing director and general manager.
