OVERLAND PARK, KANSAS, U.S. — Lansing Trade Group announced on Aug. 20 the completion of a high speed shuttle train facility on the Union Pacific Railroad near Grayridge, Missouri, U.S.   

Construction on the facility commence at the beginning of the year and has been completed in time for receiving grain for this year’s harvest. The facility is capable of loading 110-car shuttle trains. The state-of-the-art design includes high speed truck receiving, a high capacity dryer and the ability to receive multiple commodities. 

The facility is Lansing’s second shuttle facility in the delta region and adds to the existing network of facilities operated by the company.

“We have made a strong commitment to the region through our investment in this facility and are convinced we will provide new market opportunities for producers and improve harvest cycle times,” said Mike Lemke, vice-president of grain.
