HAMBURG, GERMANY — Alfred C. Toepfer International has been renamed ADM Germany GmbH by its new parent company, Archer Daniels Midland Co. (ADM), Reuters reported on July 1.

The Toepfer name has been a part of the global grains market for nearly 100 years.

In April, Decatur, Illinois, U.S.-based ADM announced that it was buying the remaining 20% stake in Toepfer from InVivo for $113.6 million. An ADM spokesperson told Reuters that the name change took effect immediately.
