OLATHE, KANSAS, U.S. — Chuck Jordan, 71,  a milling industry veteran, died on March 8 after a long struggle with many health issues.

Jordan was employed in the milling industry with Pillsbury, International Multifood, Cereal Food Processors, General Mills, Jamaica Flour Mills and Bay State Milling. He was a member of the International Operative Miller's Association and received the Milling Operative of the Year Award from World Grain’s sister publication, Milling and Baking News, in 2000.

He graduated from Solomon High School and Kansas State University with degrees in milling and baking science. He was part of the KSU ROTC and a member of the Kansas Air National Guard. 

He and his wife Lois Mooney had five children. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey, his father and mother, sisters Charlene, Barbara and Jane, and father and mother-in-law, Loren and Rita Mooney. Chuck is survived by his wife, Lois, son, James (Katie) Jordan, daughters, Julie (Steve Kaup) Jordan, Janet (Bob) Brake, Jessica (Mike) Cangemi and his 10 grandchildren,
