GRINNELL, IOWA, U.S. — Natural Products, Inc. (NPI) announced on Sept. 20 the completion of a new soy roasting and milling factory in Grinnell, Iowa, U.S. The new factory will triple NPI's annual production capacity of roasted full fat soy ingredients and enable the company to expand its product offering. The factory is scheduled to be in full production this October.

"We are very happy that this project is nearing completion," said Paul Lang, general manager. "The growing demand for full fat soy products both in the U.S. and in international markets is what drove us to initiate the expansion two years ago. The completion of the new factory strengthens our position as the leader in the full fat soy industry worldwide."

In addition to roasting and milling, the new factory includes a state-of-the-art sifting line, giving NPI the ability to produce very uniformly-sized sifted grits and meal, suitable for many bakery applications. Sales and Marketing Manager Jon Stratford is excited about the capabilities of the new factory.

"This new equipment and our increased capacity will allow us to continue to grow and enter new markets with our ingredients," he said.

NPI has been in operation since 1995. The company operates three manufacturing lines, and is continuing to strengthen its market position with these investments.
