MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA, U.S. — The Grain Elevator and Processing Society (GEAPS) Exchange Educational Programming Committee (EPC), led by Ken Schmenk of the Seaway Chapter, met Sept. 16 in Portland, Oregon, U.S., to vote on which sessions would make the final cut for Exchange 2011. Each year, EPC volunteers ensure thousands of attendees will have access to over 30 hours of top-quality educational sessions, workshops and small-group equipment classes.

As chosen by the EPC, the topic of the 2011 opening workshop, planned for 7-11 a.m. on Feb. 27, will be "Bin Entry and Sweep Augers: Dealing with an Industry Dilemma."

Working titles for the 19 regular education sessions, which will take place on Feb. 28 and March 1, are:

12. Confined-Space Bin Entry

13. How to Conduct a Job-Safety Analysis

14. Understanding Workers Comp

15. Forming Partnerships With Emergency-Service Providers

16. Hazard-Monitoring Devices: Selection, Operation and Maintenance
