NEW YORK, NEW YORK, U.S. — CME Group announced on June 28 that it reached a daily volume record for its Short-Dated New Crop Corn Options on June 27, of 35,355 contracts, surpassing the previous record of 24,388 contracts on June 18.
Open interest for Short-Dated New Crop Corn options is 118,831 contracts.
Short-Dated New Crop Options on CBOT Corn, Soybeans and Wheat expire earlier than traditional new crop options and were first introduced in 2012.
