COLOGNE, GERMNAY — The Victam international event on May 3-5, 2011 is now 80% reserved with many more companies expected to confirm their participation shortly, Victam announced on Aug. 16.

The 2011 event will be very different from the last Victam International exhibition which was held in Utrecht, Netherlands in 2007.

In 2011, there will be three co-located shows in one event: Victam — animal feed processing & biomass pelleting; FIAAP — animal feed ingredients, additives & formulation; and GRAPAS — flour milling, grain processing and pasta production.

The event will also feature larger exhibition area in one hall without pillars, seven supporting technical conferences and workshops and greater choices in hotel accommodations.

Visitors to the event will now be able to attend all three exhibitions at once and on one visitor ticket.

At the Victam stands there will be a large range of animal feed processing equipment and technology. This will be suitable for the very largest feed mill to a small mill. The technology will vary from the very latest to simpler re-furbished machines. Therefore whatever the requirement, it should be found within the show.

New for the Cologne show will be the inclusion of biomass pelleting technology. This is already a large and expanding industry sector within Germany, Austria, Scandinavia, Russia and other Eastern European countries.

FIAAP will offer to the international visitors a variety of specialist ingredients, additives and programs for the formulation of feeds for animals, petfood, aquafeed and other specialist feeds.

The GRAPAS exhibitors will be displaying the latest technology, systems and additives required for flour milling, grain processing, storage and preservation, pasta, breakfast cereals and extruded snack production.

Industry executives and experts will also be able to attend a series of technical conferences and workshops. These will include:

  • The IFF Feed Processing Conference organized by The International Research Association of Feed Technology, Germany.
  • The Biomass Conference organized by The European Biomass Association.
  • The FIAAP Conference organized by Linx Conferences.
  • The GRAPAS Conference organized by Linx Conferences.
  • Petfood Forum Europe 2011 organized by Watt Publishing, publishers of Petfood Industry magazine.
  • Aquafeed Horizons organized by Linx Conferences.
  • Feed Safety Assurance in a Globalizing Industry organized by GMP+International.

Additionally visitors will be able to attend, free of charge, commercial presentations by a number of exhibitors.
