DECATUR, ILLINOIS, U.S. – Christopher M. Cuddy has been promoted to the newly created role of president of sweeteners and starches in the Corn business unit of Archer Daniels Midland Co. (ADM), the company said on Feb. 26. Cuddy most recently was vice-president and general manager for the sweeteners and starches business.
In his new position, Cuddy will continue to manage all business development, sales, marketing and distribution activities for the company’s sweeteners and starches product portfolio, which encompasses a wide range of different corn syrups, sugar, sorbitol, dextrose and maltodextrin, as well as Fibersol, a soluble dietary fiber product. The division also produces starches for both food and industrial applications.
“Chris’ management background and deep industry knowledge will continue to be great assets for ADM Corn as we work to create additional value from our starch streams and deliver high-quality products to our customers,” said Mark Bemis, senior vice-president and president, ADM Corn business unit.
Cuddy joined ADM in 1998 and held a variety of merchandising and management roles prior to leading the sweeteners and starches group, including president of Almidones Mexicanos, S.A. de C.V., an ADM corn-processing joint venture based in Mexico; vice-president of Corn Processing; and North American sales manager for ADM BioProducts. He began his career with the company as a senior commodity trader.
