ANTALYA, TURKEY — The Turkish Flour Industrialists’ Federation (TFIF) is marking the 10th anniversary of its International Congress and Exhibition, “Wheat, Flour and Bread: Past, Present and Future.” The event will be March 13-16 at the Titanic Deluxe Belek in Antalya, Turkey.

More than 600 flour millers, wheat traders, wheat suppliers and bread and bakery industry members are expected to attend along with 50 exhibitors. Organizers said the congress will seek new opportunities for existing and new markets, strengthen trade relationships and build new ties.

Speakers include ministers from Turkey and Black Sea region countries, representatives of the International Association of Operative Millers, the International Grains Council and European Flour Millers Association.

The wheat market is the main subject of the conference, but discussions will also focus on flour and wheat trading, and the role of government and regulations. Organizers said the event is ideal for Turkish flour producing and trading enterprises, flour importers, grain exporters, wheat purchasers from Europe, the U.S., the Black Sea region, the Middle East and Africa.

A trade session is planned on March 15 to promote bilateral meetings among participants. In this session, priority will be given to foreign firms and/or their representatives. Each speaker will take the floor for five to 10 minutes.

Firms or representatives should apply to the TFIF when the registration process is finalized, organizers said.

The exhibition will feature suppliers of flour producing equipment, engineering companies, public sectors, banks, brokers, traders and more. The congress will be in English, Russian and Turkish languages.
