REGINA, SASKATCHEWAN, CANADA — Viterra Inc. announced on Oct. 1 that it has transferred to Agrium Inc. certain crop input retail centers, fertilizer and ammonia storage and distribution assets in western Canada; Viterra Financial arrangements related to crop input retail centers; Viterra's interest in Interprovincial Cooperative Limited; and the western Canadian fuel business, in accordance with the provisions of the support and purchase agreement between, among others, Viterra and Agrium.

The transaction is part of Glencore’s acquisition of Viterra, announced in March 2012. Glencore agreed to sell certain assets of Viterra to Agrium Inc. and Richardson International Ltd.
