OMAHA, NEBRASKA, U.S. — Gavilon Grain, LLC announced on Aug. 10 that it will acquire a 400,000-bushel grain elevator in Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin, U.S.. Under the terms of the agreement, Gavilon will purchase the southern Wisconsin grain operation from Irv’s Feed and Supply Inc. and continue buying, selling and storing grain. The company will assume all forward purchase and sales contracts.

"We are looking forward to serving area producers and building upon the outstanding operation established by Irv and Judy Steinhauer," said Gene Reibel, senior director of merchandising and operations of Gavilon Grain. "The Mt. Horeb facility will complement our storage and handling capabilities in Dane County at Waunakee."

The grain facility is located at 9920 County Road ID in Mt. Horeb. Larry Kippley, facility manager at Waunakee, will manage the facility following the sale, which is expected to be complete by the end of August.
