WASHINGTON, D.C., U.S. — The U.S. Grains Council (USGC) said on Sept. 7 that its office in Tunis, Tunisia, is assuming a broader role as a regional hub serving the Middle East, as well as both North and Sub-Saharan Africa.
The Tunis office will also manage the programs formerly housed in the council's Amman, Jordan, office, which was phased out over the summer and formally closed as of Sept. 1.
The expanded Tunis office is managed by Cary Sifferath, the U.S. Grains Council Mediterranean and Africa regional director.
