WESTCHESTER, ILLINOIS, U.S. — Corn Products International, Inc. said on May 7 that it has been named to the FORTUNE 500. The annual ranking of America's largest corporations was released by FORTUNE magazine.

With 2011 net sales of $6.2 billion, Corn Products ranked number 390 out of the 500 corporations on the FORTUNE 500. This is the company's first year on the list.

"We are excited to be on the Fortune 500 list. It recognizes our long history of consistent growth and effective strategy," said Ilene Gordon, chairman, chief executive officer and president.  "We have generated both top and bottom line growth during our history as a public company while also delivering significant cash flow. As a result of our performance, we have seen meaningful shareholder value creation and that remains our driving goal."

The ranking is based on total annual revenues of companies that are incorporated and operate in the U.S. and file financial statements with a government agency. It appears in the latest issue of FORTUNE magazine and on FORTUNE.com/500.
