MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA — AWB Limited announced on Oct. 6 that the Supreme Court of Victoria approved the convening of a meeting of AWB shareholders to consider and vote on the proposed scheme of arrangement under which Agrium Inc. would acquire AWB.
The scheme meeting will be Nov. 16 at Arthur Streeton Auditorium, Sofitel Melbourne on Collins, 25 Collins Street, Melbourne, Victoria.
Information relating to the scheme of arrangement, including the notice convening the scheme meeting and an independent expert’s report, will be included in a scheme booklet which will be mailed to AWB shareholders following registration of the scheme booklet with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission and lodgement with the ASX.
A further announcement attaching the scheme booklet will be released by AWB following ASIC registration.
