NASHVILLE, ARKANSAS, U.S. — The body of a missing worker was found on Dec. 9 nearly 12 hours after the collapse of a Tyson Foods Inc. grain silo in Nashville, Arkansas, U.S., according to news reports.

Johnny Needham, 48, of Lockesburg, Arkansas, U.S., was found by a search dog. Needham was one of three people on duty at the time the 120-foot metal silo collapsed at 2:30 a.m. on Dec. 9.


Millions of pounds of corn for poultry feed was in the silo. The cause of the collapse is unknown, and currently under investigation.

Plant Manager Paul Britt said in news reports that the facility has been closed while the collapse is investigated. The structural integrity of the other silos is being examined.
