MOOSE JAW, SASKATCHEWAN, CANADA — Viterra plans to make “significant upgrades” to its grain terminal in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada, part of the company’s ongoing commitment to operational excellence across its network.

Viterra did not disclose how much it will invest in the project, which will include the installation of a 12,500-foot double-loop track north of the terminal that can accommodate 144 Canadian Pacific Railway high-capacity cars and three locomotives. It also will include an upgraded shipping system that will reduce loading times and the construction of a new access road with improved sightlines, Viterra said.

“Viterra has operated in Moose Jaw and area for over 100 years, and with these upgrades we can ensure that we can continue providing our customers with superior service,” a company spokesperson said.

The project is expected to begin this spring and is scheduled to be completed this fall.
