ABERDEEN, SOUTH DAKOTA, US — Agtegra Cooperative has named Mike Rizor as its new chief operating officer, effective Feb. 6.

With more than 30 years of industry experience, Rizor has held leadership positions with Land O’Lakes, Cargill and Agspring. In his new role with Agtegra, he will be responsible for leading all company operations, overseeing all aspects of safety, operational execution, transportation, application and dispatch, capital planning, and operational efficiency. 

Rizor received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and a master’s degree in business administration at the University of Iowa’s Tippie College of Business.

Agtegra Cooperative is headquartered in Aberdeen, South Dakota, US, and is one of the nation’s largest locally owned agricultural cooperatives. It is owned by more than 6,800 farmers and ranchers, predominantly in North Dakota and South Dakota, with a network of more than 70 locations and 850 employees.

According to Sosland Publishing’s2023 Grain & Milling Annual, Agtegra is the 12th-largest grain handling company in North America with 41 grain storage facilities, including 30 country elevators, with a licensed storage capacity of 121 million bushels.
