BAKU, AZERBAIJAN — The Russian Grain Union will host its XII International Grain Trading Conference, Global Grain Outlook, Oct. 4-7 at the Holiday Inn in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Organizers said the location was chosen because the country is a “pivotal link between the grain markets of the Black Sea region, Asia, the Middle East as well as its positioning as ‘the Grain Gates’ between the Islamic world and the countries of the Black Sea region.”

Discussions are planned on mid- and long-term trends in the development of grain production, investment support and the mechanisms of financing grain production and trade. Also of importance is grain logistics and the creation of new transport corridors, such as the north-south corridor with access to the Persian Gulf.

More than 3,000 people from 30 countries are expected to attend the event. More information is available at http://grun.ru/en/.
