CAMBRIA, WISCONSIN, U.S. — Didion Milling said on Oct. 3 that it earned a superior rating on an American Institute of Baking (AIB) facility audit on Aug. 21-22. The superior rating, the highest rating given by the organization, highlights Didion's continued commitment to food safety and quality, the company said.
"We are very pleased to receive this highly-respected distinction," said John Didion, chief executive officer of Didion Milling. "It is a great reflection of our continued efforts to improve our programs and processes."
Didion Milling earned a superior rating by excelling in the following areas:
•           Operational methods and personnel practices.
•           Maintenance for food safety.
•           Cleaning practices.
•           Integrated pest management.
•           Adequacy of prerequisite and food safety programs.

"This comprehensive audit went beyond the quality team," said John Deininger, quality assurance manager at Didion Milling. "It was a group effort across several disciplines to reach the shared goal of a superior rating."
Achieving this rating puts Didion Milling among the top 25% in the industry for food safety. To reinforce its commitment to food safety, the company is working to earn FSSC 22000 certification.
