MANHATTAN, KANSAS, US — A virtual version of the IGP Institute’s Grain Procurement and Purchasing course will be available from April 5-28, 2022.

Sessions will be available via Zoom with daily sessions no longer than two hours. Course materials will be provided to participants via Kansas State University’s learning management system.

This course series benefits international grain, wheat, corn, grain sorghum, DDGs and soybeans buyers, government officials, and others responsible for the purchase, importing, shipping, and handling of US agricultural commodities.

This course is especially useful to individuals in private companies taking on the responsibilities for grain purchasing and shipping. An increased understanding of the US grain marketing system will enhance the participants' ability to competitively purchase US grains and commodities with greater confidence and effectiveness.

“At the IGP’s Grain Procurement and Purchasing course, participants can learn all the basics that are needed to fully understand how the procurement of grains is done at the international level,” said Carlos Campabadal, IGP Institute outreach specialist in feed manufacturing and grain quality management. “Also, we focus in detail on specific topics that are geared to the advanced level of purchasing commodities.”
