BEIJING, CHINA — China allowed imports of barley powder for feed use from Kazakhstan, Reuters reported, citing a customs office.
China has increased its purchases of grains to fill a domestic supply gap in corn supplies. As a result, grain prices have soared.
Corn prices have come down but not enough, Reuters said.
The barley powder must be a fine powder feed ingredient processed from barley produced in Kazakhstan.
