SPRINGFIELD, OHIO, US — Zach Whitford has been named plant manager for the Sweet Manufacturing Company.

He will be responsible for all areas of production in the company’s Springfield, Ohio, US, plant as well as increasing operational efficiency and upholding the company’s “Quality Line” standards.

“Zach’s strong background and hands-on experience make him a valuable asset that can help improve many processes here at Sweet Manufacturing,” said Dwayne Gundolf, vice president of Manufacturing for Sweet Manufacturing. “Zach is energetic and eager to improve current processes and assist in new product development. I look forward to working closely with Zach to improve our current manufacturing processes for many years to come.”

Whitford has been with Sweet Manufacturing since 2007 and began as a general laborer building intermediate assemblies. He continued expand his experience by moving to fabrication and then team leader for the welding department. In 2017, Whitford assumed a new role as manufacturing coordinator, responsible for product flow within the facility. A year later, he was promoted to manufacturing foreman, assisting the plant manager with all of his duties.
