KIEV, UKRAINE — Ukraine’s grain exports are down to 26.41 million tonnes from 31.49 million tonnes a year ago, according to economy ministry data, Reuters reported.

Traders have sold 12.51 million tonnes of wheat, 9.73 million tonnes of corn and 3.78 million tonnes of barley, according to the data.

The nation accounts for 16% of global grain exports. It sold about 57 million tonnes of grain to foreign buyers in 2019-20, Reuters said.

Because of a weaker harvest, the government has said exports could fall to 44.18 million tonnes in 2020-21.
