URBANDALE, IOWA, U.S. — Insta-Pro International has named Gerardo Maucci the company’s new Latin American sales manager. Maucci, a former international trade specialist for the Panama Canal Authority’s department of marketing, will draw on more than 10 years of experience in international market research to assist Benjamin Herrera, Insta-Pro’s Latin American sales director.

“We are very pleased to add Gerardo to the Insta-Pro team,” said Karl Arnold, vice-president of sales and marketing. “We believe Gerardo will be a great asset for us as we continue to pursue opportunities for Insta-Pro in the Latin American region.”

“I am excited to join the Insta-Pro family and help grow this team,” Maucci said. “The Latin American region has huge growth potential, and I am excited to see how we can pursue that together.”

Maucci, whose recent experience has emphasized container shipping and refrigerated cargo, will spend much of September in the U.S. learning Insta-Pro’s technology and attending a Texas A&M short course on aquaculture feed extrusion, nutrition and feed management.

In addition to his market research experience, Maucci has worked as an industrial engineer for the Panama Canal Commission, as a special projects manager studying new technology for a Panamanian poultry company, and as an operations manager for a thermoplastic manufacturer WFR/Aquaplast Corporation from Wyckoff, New Jersey.

He has a bachelor’s of science degree in industrial engineering and a master’s of science degree in operations research, both from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and masters of business administration degree from Nova Southeastern University.
