BEIJING, CHINA — China’s soybean imports in November increased from last year as shipments from the US booked after the phase one trade deal cleared customs, Reuters reported, citing customs data.

China imported 9.59 million tonnes of soybeans, up from 8.28 million tonnes last year, according to the General Administration of Customs.

As part of the phase one agreement, China has said it would purchase $36.5 billion of US farm goods.
