NORWICH, ENGLAND — Bryan Read, former president of the National Association of British and Irish Millers (nabim) and chairman of Read Woodrow Ltd. in Norwich, England, died at the age of 95.
Read was president of nabim in 1967-68 and 1981-82. He also was chairman of the group’s wheat committee for many years and represented the industry and association in various forums.
Read was a one-time chairman of RH Clarke in Great Yarmouth, the joint venture between R.J. Read and RHM. He was chairman of the Flour Milling & Baking Research Association (FMBRA) at Chorley Wood.
