PARK RIVER, NORTH DAKOTA, U.S. — ADM-Benson Quinn announced on Sept. 1 that it has formed Walsh Grain Terminal, LLC, a joint venture with Walsh Grain, LLC, to build a shuttle loader grain elevator in Park River, North Dakota, U.S. The elevator will have a storage capacity of 1.8 million bushels and the ability to load 110-car shuttle trains.

“ADM is pleased to partner with area farmers to bring a large, efficient shuttle loader grain elevator to producers in the Red River Valley in North Dakota,” said Scott Nagel, president, ADM-Benson Quinn. “The crops procured in this facility will help support regional ADM milling operations, ADM oilseed processing operations and ADM grain exports to Asian markets.”

ADM owns a 50% interest in Walsh Grain Terminal. Walsh Grain, comprised of Hoople Farmers’ Grain Company, Grafton Farmers’ Coop Grain Company, Edinburg Farmers’ Elevator Company and Nash Grain and Trading Company, holds the remaining 50% interest.

Construction has already begun, and is expected to be completed in September 2012.
