FLORENCE, ITALY — The Sixth Annual International Association of Operative Millers (IAOM) Eurasia District Conference and Expo is scheduled for Sept. 10-14 at the Hotel Sheraton in Florence, Italy.

Conference fees for IAOM members, if paid before July 31, are €230. After that date the fee is €280. Fees for non-members are €270 if paid before July 31 and €320 after that date. The fee includes personal badge with barcode, final program, access to exhibition area and conference, the welcome reception, coffee breaks, lunches, a conference bag, and a certificate of attendance.


The conference will focus on technical subjects as well as economic issues proposed by the host country. Exhibitors will also have the opportunity to present their company innovations and other related topics.

Optional events include a Tuscany dinner, a gala dinner and tours of Florence, Siena, Bologna, Rome and the Chianti area.

Italy has traditionally had a strong milling industry that ranks among the leading nations in terms of milling capacity and features high-tech mills.

The 2010 meeting for the Eurasia District took place in Reims, France, while the district’s previous conferences were held in Turkey, Kazakhstan, Romania and Russia. The joint meeting with AEMIC in Reims last year convened more than 2,500 visitors from 46 countries, with over 120 manufacturing and supplying companies from 15 countries filling the exhibition hall.
