PERTH, AUSTRALIA — CBH harvest receivals activity increased this week due to warm and dry weather. The co-op has received 1.8 million tonnes during the week ending Nov. 15 and it now has 111 sites open. On Nov. 13, CBH received 330,000 tonnes, making it the largest receival day to date.

“We are likely more than a quarter of the way through harvest now and we expect daily receivals to peak over the next few weeks,” said Ben Macnamara, general manager of operations at CBH. “Given seasonal conditions, we have been seeking to manage segregations to cater for the wide variability in crop quality.”

CBH’s total receivals as of Nov. 15 are 3,269,000 tonnes of grain.

“Around half of our receivals to date have been barley with just over a quarter wheat,” Macnamara said. “We’re anticipating wheat deliveries to increase in the coming days.”
