ST. PAUL, MINNESOTA, U.S. — CHS Inc. announced on July 19 that it is contributing $500,000 to the North Dakota Community Foundation and $400,000 to the Minot Area Community Foundation to aid in North Dakota flood relief efforts.

“As a cooperative owned by farmers and ranchers, CHS has had a strong presence in North Dakota for more than 80 years,” said Carl Casale, CHS president and chief executive officer. “We recognize the significant impact the flooding has had on so many individuals and communities throughout the state. Through our contributions to these two foundations, we are pleased to help provide support as the clean-up process begins.”

In late June, CHS announced plans to contribute more than $1 million to the state of North Dakota for flood relief. At that time, the company also announced a $50,000 contribution to the American Red Cross by the CHS Foundation, an independent, private foundation supported by CHS Inc., and a $50,000 corporate contribution for direct support to nearly two dozen CHS employees whose homes were damaged by flooding in the Minot area. Both funds are eligible for matching contributions through July 29. For more information, seewww.chsinc.com.
