MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA, U.S. — Cargill on July 15 completed its acquisition of the Italian animal nutrition company, Raggio di Sole Mangimi S.p.A, having received antitrust approval from the Italian Authority.

“We are delighted to welcome the Raggio di Sole Mangimi S.p.A employees to Cargill,” said Silvio Ferrari, president of Cargill’s business in Italy. “This acquisition brings a dedicated and committed team to Cargill. We will now start the process of integrating our operations, with particular emphasis on maintaining and building on the excellent levels of service which we proudly deliver to our customers.”

This acquisition complements Cargill’s existing resources and capabilities. Together with Raggio di Sole Mangimi S.p.A’s brand and wide portfolio of products, Cargill will create a new, nationwide full service offering across the spectrum of animal nutrition customers’ needs.

Cargill has been active in Italy since 1962 and this acquisition represents a natural extension of its animal nutrition business in the country.
