The Law #3387-V? “On making of amendments to the Tax Codex of Ukraine and adoption of tariffs of the export duties for several varieties of grains” was published in the state newspaper Uryadoviy Courier on June 17.
The law specifies that the government impose export duties for the following grain varieties: wheat, meslin and emmer wheat — 9% of the customs cost, but not lower €17 per tonne; barley — 14%, but not lower €23 per tonne; maize — 12%, but not lower €20 per tonne.
On June 10, Viktor Yanukovich, president of Ukraine, signed the law #3387-VI, which imposes 9%-14% customs duties for grain exports until 2012.
