RIOM, FRANCE – Limagrains is renaming its ingredient group, Limagrain Céréales Ingrédients, to Limagrain Ingredients. The new name will extend to the company’s recent acquisitions of Unicorn Grain Specialties BV and Unicorn Grain Specialties GmbH.

Currently, Limagrain Ingredients sells products in 58 countries which influenced the name change to further its goal to continue the international market expansion.  Limgrain Ingredients currently processes more than 330,000 tonnes of grain a year, produced in seven production plants around Europe. Although currently focused on grain, the co-op noted growth could be possible from other grain families such as legumes and other plant proteins.

“Limagrain Ingredients believes that life can be enriched by healthy nutritional experiences,” the co-op said. “Grain is the essential ingredient for well-balanced nutrition. The vocation of Limagrain Ingredients is to reveal the natural potential of grain. All of our production processes within our company, ensure 100% natural products with distinct functionalities.”

Limagrain Ingredients products are sold in six international market segments: bakery, culinary, snacks, breakfast cereals, petfood and horses and young animals (piglets and calves), and two domestic markets: traditional bakery and wood pellets.

Limagrain is an international agricultural cooperative group founded and managed by French farmers. It distributes field seeds, vegetable seeds and cereal products.
