KVANUM, SWEDEN — TORNUM will introduce its new Tropical Grain Cooler at the GEAPS Exchange, March 9-12 in New Orleans, Louisiana, U.S.

TORNUM said the Tropical Grain Cooler offers safe grain storage temperature regardless of ambient conditions. The grain coolers are fully computerized and ready for immediate use, once connected to the main power supply.

As grain breathes, it loses both weight and value. Mold, fungi and insects can develop quickly if the grain is not stored under the correct conditions. TORNUM notes that its Tropical Grain Cooler controls both the temperature and the relative humidity of the cooled air, regardless of ambient conditions. This eliminates the need for toxic chemicals to protect grain from insect damage.

TORNUM said the refrigerant system used in the Tropical Grain Cooler is a state-of-the-art indirect cooling system that uses 80% less ecological refrigerant compared to traditional systems on the market.

TORNUM will be located at booth 2130 at GEAPS. The Tropical Grain Cooler will also be introduced at VIV Asia, March 13-15, in Bangkok, Thailand, in Hall 102, booth 2565.
