KIEV, UKRAINE — Ukraine is projected to export 47.2 million tonnes of grain in 2018-19, up from 39.4 million, which is an 8% increase from the previous year, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy said on Feb. 6.

The ministry said Ukraine exported 28.52 million tonnes of grain and leguminous crops from July 1, when the 2018-19 marketing year began, to Feb. 6, 2019, which was 16% higher year-over-year.

That export total includes 11.6 million tonnes of wheat, 3.27 million tonnes of barley, and 13 million tonnes of corn, according to the ministry.

The ministry noted that Ukraine also exported 150,600 tonnes of flour during the July-February period.
