CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, U.S. —  For the eleventh year in a row, Archer Daniels Midland Co. was named one of the most admired companies in the food production industry by Fortune magazine. Fortune’s annual list of the “World Most Admired Companies” ranked companies in 51 major industries for 2019.

“ADM’s presence on this list for more than a decade now is a reflection of the steadfast commitment and service of our 31,000 global colleagues,” said Juan Luciano, chairman and chief executive officer of ADM. “They represent a talented, diverse workforce that is dedicated to delivering excellence every day and passionate about our industry and the communities where they live and work. We are truly honored to be recognized once again as one of the most admired companies in our industry.”

For 2019, Fortune’s “World’s Most Admired Companies” list ranked companies in 52 major industries on nine criteria — from investment value and quality of management and products, to social responsibility and ability to attract talent. A total of 680 companies in 30 countries were evaluated this year.

Four other food production companies were named to the “World Most Admired Companies” list and were ranked in the food production industry category:

  1. Tyson Foods
  2. Archer Daniels Midland
  3. Wilmar International
  4. Ingredion
  5. Louis Dreyfus Company

Another industry category included consumer food products:

  1. Nestle
  2. PepsiCo
  3. Danone
  4. Mondelez International
  5. General Mills
  6. Conagra Brands
