WINNIPEG, MANITOBA, CANADA —  G3 Canada Limited plans to build a new primary elevator with a capacity of 42,000 tonnes near Carmangay in southern Alberta, Canada.

The state-of-the-art facility will have the same technology as the company’s other new elevators in the Canadian prairies. The facilities can empty a Super-B truck in less than five minutes and load 134-car trains in hours on a loop track.

"G3 Carmangay is designed to save farmers' time and keep their grain moving to market," said G3 Chief Executive Officer Don Chapman. "We're looking forward to being part of the community in and around Vulcan County and showing farmers how our industry-leading speed and efficiency can benefit their business."

G3 Carmangay is located southwest of Carmangay on the west side of Highway #23. It will be on CP rail line.

Construction will begin shortly and is expected to be complete in 2020, when G3's new grain export terminal in Vancouver also becomes operational.

G3 Carmangay is the latest in the expansion of G3's grain origination network in Western Canada. Construction is already underway on previously-announced elevators in Wetaskiwin, Alberta and Maidstone, Saskatchewan. G3 recently celebrated the grand openings of new elevators near Melville and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

G3 Canada Limited is in the process of creating an efficient coast-to-coast Canadian grain enterprise.  Its assets include primary grain elevators and port terminals stretching from Leader, Saskatchewan to Québec City, Québec, a Great Lake grain transport vessel, and a large private fleet of grain hopper cars in Canada.
