DELHI, INDIA — For the first time, the International Association of Operative Millers (IAOM) is planning two conferences and expos in the South Asia region.

The technical conferences and expos, in cooperation with Assocom Institute of Bakery Technology and Management (AIBTM), are planned in India on Dec. 3-4 in Delhi, and a repeat session on Dec. 6-7 in Bangalore.

Developed by and for operative millers, the IAOM meeting will focus on technical aspects of flour mill operations. Both events will feature presentations delivered by North American-based milling experts.

It will feature IAOM’s special blend of education, business and camaraderie that has proven to be effective throughout the world, the IAOM said. The AIBTM conference center will serve as the site for the Delhi event. The Bangalore event will take place at the Gateway Residency Road hotel.

Both events will include daily educational seminars, networking luncheons, expo and panel discussions. Presentations by industry experts from around the world will cover topics as diverse as flour formulations for target specifications through blending, wheat quality attributes, new developments in cleaning and tempering, using solar energy, flour handling systems, modifying existing plants with new technology, and integrated pest management.
