Wheat output is forecast at 69.6 million tonnes, down from 72.5 million tonnes, while barley was revised downward to 16.9 million tonnes from 17.8 million tonnes.
Corn is projected at 12.5 million tonnes, down from 12.7 million tonnes.
SovEcon said that dry weather has affected crops in the central and Volga regions, and the southern region was plagued by low yields at the start of the harvest season.
In 2017, Russia’s grain harvest reached a record 135 million tonnes.
