GEAPS 600: Overview of Milling Principles is an online course that will be May 29-June 20. Registration for the course is currently open and closes May 22.
After completing the course, students will understand the differences in classes of wheat grown in the United States, basic milling processes and terminology, and calculations used to evaluate milling efficiencies.
“Our company designs and constructs flour mills all over the country,” said Jon Sargent of Todd & Sargent. “This course provides a great overview of the entire flour milling process and industry to help better understand some of the challenges and opportunities facing our clients.”
GEAPS 600 is one of six courses required for the Credential in Grain Processing in Management. Three other courses are available in May. For more information on courses and credentials, visit the program website
